Charities

The Wahoo Challenge proudly has given over $180,000 to our two well deserving charities over the last four years.

The Crystal Coast Hospice House Foundation was officially formed earlier in 2008 with its own board of directors working very hard to move forward with a dedicated Hospice House in Carteret County.  This was a very exciting step for everyone involved and we are happy to be able to continue to donate to such a wonderful cause.

The Take A Kid Fishing Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports disadvantaged youth and children with special needs of Eastern North Carolina, by hosting a day-long coastal fishing adventure.  This amazing event will take place again this year in June and The Wahoo Challenge is proud to be such a big part of its success.  For more information about Take a Kid Fishing please visit their website at www.takf.org.
